Deeside Rainbow

This autumn rainbow occurred on the afternoon of 13th November, 2020 from a small rain shower in the distance. The shapes, size and colours make them a subject I enjoy photographing and are a reflection of the great mix of weather and light we have in the North East of Scotland. One big headache is the rain that creates them so lenses have to be kept dry or covered as much as possible as well as the photographer. However on this occasion the rain shower was in the distance so no problems with rain on the camera lens in this instance. This was taken from Ord Fundlie hillside north of Kincardine O’Neil, looking across to the Hill of Fare and Torphins.
